Buy a domain

Want a name that is already registered and not for sale anywhere? Tell us about it and a person will go and talk.

Three ways to get there yourself

Most of the time you do not need anyone: depending on where the name stands, one of these works.

Nobody has registered it

Search it, and if it is free, register it at the listed price in a few minutes.

Search a domain ›

The owner listed it for sale

Buy-now listings in the marketplace: pay the listed price and the domain is handed over.

Expiring, or already in closeout

Backorder it and wait for the drop, or buy it outright from the expired closeout list.

Leave a buying request

For the names none of those three reach. We look at its status, its registrar and the likely cost first, then come back with a quote.

It lands in our ticket system and a person answers. Cost and fee are quoted after the assessment - this page does not fix a percentage, and nothing is charged up front.

How a buying request runs

01

You send it

The name and how to reach you - that is all we need to start.

02

We look it up

Whether it is for sale, which registrar holds it, and whether there is trademark risk - then what it would realistically cost.

03

You get a quote

Expected acquisition cost, our fee and how the handover works. Nothing starts until you say yes.

04

Handover

Once it is agreed, payment and domain change hands together and the name moves into your account.

Buying request FAQ

Can you guarantee you will get it?

No. Whether a registered name can be bought depends on the owner being willing and the price being agreeable. What we can promise is that nothing is charged if it does not happen, and that the process and the quote are written down.

What does it cost?

Quoted after the assessment: the expected acquisition cost plus our fee. The page does not fix a percentage, because what you are quoted depends on the name and on how hard the negotiation turns out to be.

Why not just buy it in the marketplace?

If it is listed, buy it there - it is faster and cheaper. A buying request is for names that are not for sale anywhere.

How soon will I hear back?

The ticket goes to the person who handles this, usually with a first read within one working day. If we have to approach the owner, the negotiation itself can take days to weeks.

What if it does not work out?

Nothing is charged. If the owner refuses, or the price goes past your budget, we stop there - we will not bid you up to close a deal.

Is my information made public?

No. The request stays in the ticket system, and when we approach the owner we do not disclose who the buyer is unless you agree.
