Credit lands immediately
Online payment is usable straight away.
Put money on the account once, and stop paying again at every registration and renewal.
Put money on the account in advance, and renewals, registrations and certificates draw on the balance instead of running a payment each time.
For anyone holding a number of domains the value is not a discount. It is that automatic renewals no longer fail because one payment attempt did.
A preset figure or your own.
Credit appears once the payment clears.
Select account credit at checkout, or pay an invoice from it.
Every movement is listed on the account.
Online payment is usable straight away.
Fewer renewals lost to a failed payment.
Top-ups, charges and refunds listed.
Registrations, renewals, transfers and certificates.
Orders paid from credit are invoiced the same way.
Top up the difference another way when credit runs short.
Three situations
Know this before topping up
| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Speed | Online payment is usually immediate; a bank transfer needs manual matching and takes longer |
| Where it applies | Any order on this account |
| Withdrawal | Credit is not withdrawable once added; it is spent on this account |
| Transfer | It cannot be moved to another account |
| Interest | None - credit is not a financial product |
Top up in line with what you expect to spend in the near term rather than adding a large balance you will not use.
Where the money goes
When an order is cancelled or does not complete - a rejected registration, a failed transfer - the amount taken is returned to account credit and can be used on another order.
If an order paid from credit needs to be refunded to the original payment method, open a ticket and we will handle it according to what that payment method supports.
Preset or custom amounts.
Applied at checkout.
Drawn on first, so renewals continue.
Every movement listed.
Issued for credit-paid orders too.
Uncompleted orders return to credit.
Any promotion running is shown on the pre-payment page. The main purpose of credit is to keep checkout and automatic renewals reliable, so please do not over-fund for a bonus alone.
Credit is not withdrawable once added; it is spent on this account. In exceptional circumstances, open a ticket and we will follow what the original payment method allows.
No. Credit belongs to the account it was added to and cannot be transferred.
Credit itself has no expiry. Where an account is dormant and has unpaid invoices, the balance is applied to what is owed first.
Yes. Where there is enough credit it is drawn on first; only then are other payment methods attempted.
